Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Tydes. By using Tydes, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account, password, profile, posts, events, messages and activity. Use accurate information, keep your account secure and do not impersonate another person or brand.
Community rules
Tydes is for surf, travel and community. You may not post or message content involving harassment, hate, threats, scams, spam, illegal activity, sexual services, nudity, dangerous event promotion or content that exploits or harms minors. We may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts that break these rules.
User content
You keep ownership of content you post, but you give Tydes permission to host, display, process and distribute that content as needed to run the app. Only upload content you have rights to share.
Premium subscriptions
Premium features may include broader live forecast access, tide data, alerts and other surf-planning tools. Subscriptions purchased in the iOS or Android app are handled by Apple or Google. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are managed through your app-store account.
Accommodation links and bookings
Tydes may display accommodation information and links to third-party websites. Unless clearly stated otherwise, Tydes is not the merchant, accommodation provider or booking agent. Pricing, availability, booking terms, payment, cancellation, refunds and customer service for a booking are controlled by the third party. Tydes may earn an affiliate commission from qualifying bookings.
Forecast and tide data
Forecasts, tides, water temperature, wind, power, quality labels, map markers and best-window estimates may come from third-party providers, cached data or estimated fallback models. We try to make the app useful, but we do not guarantee that surf, tide, map or weather data will be complete, current or accurate.
Reports, blocks and moderation
You can report content and block users in the app. We review reports and may take action at our discretion. Blocking and moderation tools are safety features, but they cannot guarantee that you will never see unwanted content.
Changes and availability
Tydes may change, pause or remove features over time. We may update these Terms as the app grows. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
